Backstory
I came to know of Malini in 2013. Two of her trainers taught me in an Expressive Arts course (FECAT) that I had enrolled for.
Malini came to know of me in 2019. She was looking to update and redesign her website and asked Brinda, the founder of the same course that I did way back on 2013, for references. Brinda said don’t look beyond Monica.
She called. I quoted. She rejected. No funds, she said.
Then a year later, in 2020, she messaged saying she managed to put together the funds and asked to meet to discuss further. I stay in the back of beyond from the city (clean air, blue skies, green trees), and to avoid travel, I was trying to negotiate that we connect on the phone or zoom to have the initial briefing. She was keen we meet in-person. So I threw my trump card to buy some time. I told her that the discussion would be meaningful if she had the final content in place and she said it was still work in progress. So we decided to meet when she was closer to finish.
Pandemic struck. The city closed. The birds sang. The content came. The website launched. And we still haven’t met. She has promised me lunch the next time I am in Indiranagar.

Very meticulous, extremely punctual and understands our not so well defined design requirements. She just gets it! I don’t think I have ever rejected or not liked any of her designs.
