Backstory

S and V and another S and V founded ACE – American Cricket Enterprises, that operates Major League Cricket (MLC). Much like Alphabet that is the holding company of Google. But who remembers the logo of Alphabet? It must have been made in a hurry to put on some legal documents that needed to be printed on the company letterhead. So a quick typographical logo was used. Over and out.

ACE was in the process of hiring and needed a landing page for their website saying, “We are Hiring, blah blah blah.” It was linked to LinkedIn and not much traffic was expected barring the stray jobless surfers. It had to be up in 24 hours. I like these kind of deadlines. The client doesn’t have too much time to reject the designs presented.

The logo was more than just plain text. But ACE will always remain in the shadows of its more famous prodigy – MLC. Or on the top right-hand corner of the company letterhead.
